During these times, he was guided into unlocking his spirit animal (also referred to as his natural aura). The animal in question happened to be that of the Dragon. The strongest of the 4 spirit animals.
His draconic aura allows for unbelievably increased feats of strength and stamina.
It allows gives him power over the element of fire.

𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔

𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 » With his draconic aura cloaking his blade; the swordsman slams it into the ground, causing up to three, large pillars of fire to shoot to the sky.
The force of impact is more than enough to throw his opponent in any direction.
However, such an attack takes up to 5 minutes of charging time (depending on the number of pillars) and leaves him open for attacks.

𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙠𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙠𝙚 » Throwing his sword to the sky, Matt flips himself in the sky to catch it, using the momentum to slam the sharpened blade into his opponents below.
This technique is also used to attack foes in the air; as well as, to dodge attacks thrown by the enemy.
The attack can be interrupted by counter attacks and other's getting to his sword before him.
→𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙠𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙠𝙚 + 𝘽𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙏 » This attack can be taken even further.
As he slams his blade into the ground below, he uses his sword as a conductor, allowing his draconic aura to BURST forth, slamming his opponent away from him.

𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙬 » An attack almost too fast to be tracked by the human eye. Matt slashes through the opponent, using his aura to both increase his speed and attack.

𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙪𝙨𝙝 » Catching his opponent with a swift, but powerful strike with his aura covered blade, the swordsman throws his opponent into the air, following them up, he unleashes a rush attack, each blow more powerful than next. Finishing it with his most powerful move, 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢.
In which he slams them back to the Earth below, a large pillar of fire and draconic aura engulfing their whole being.
After this final attack, his aura is unusable for the rest of the day. . .As is the fighter, as he is too exhausted.

「𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝑩𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆. . .」

Before there was time. . .Before there was anything. . .There was nothing. And before there was nothing. . .There was fire.
These flames granted the birth of four powerful beings. . .The very same beings, we living creatures call 𝙂𝙤𝙙𝙨. These God's became the foundation of what life was to become.
The first created, was the Great and Powerful Dragon; 𝑩𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒐𝒈. Created to be not only the strongest among the four, but to be the mediator between them. His roars were said to have created the very oxygen we breath, while his lightning was said to have created the foundation of the atmosphere. His power has been passed to all humans in the form of Strength and Dexterity.
Next came his brother, the Mighty and Brave Lion; 𝑩𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉. Created to be not only the warrior, but to be a guardian between them. His paws were said to light even waters ablaze, while his ferocious roars were said to raise the very lands we stand on. His power has been passed to all Humans in the form of Honor, Bravery and Integrity.
The third sibling to rise from the fires, was the Swift and Cunning Wolf; 𝑿𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒔. Created not only to plan how their home would look, but also to be an adviser in all other matters between the siblings. Her's howls echoed amongst the land, forcing the rocks to rise, forming the mountains dividing boarders. While the lightning created by her swift paws struck the Earth, giving life to those mountains, creating powerful volcanoes. Her power has been passed to all humans in the form of creating what is to come and innovation.
The Final sibling, was the Wise and Kind Unicorn, 𝑿𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔. Created not only to keep balance among the sibling's squabbles, but also to aid in the creation of life. The gallop of her hooves, as they met with the freshly created Earth not only allowed for water to come forth. . .But it also allowed for all plant life to take form. Her power has been passed to all humans in the form of Wisdom, Love and the ability to create Life itself.

For eons, the siblings lived in peace and harmony. . .However, over matters pertaining to borders and positions, the siblings slowly began to fight with one another. . .
𝑿𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒔, using her cunning abilities, swayed 𝑩𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉 to join her in conquering their siblings to gain their power and take the Earth for themselves. While 𝑩𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒐𝒈 & 𝑿𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔 joined forces to stop their siblings and reform balance amongst the Earth. . .To aid in their battles, the four siblings created sentient life, some in their likeness, to fight alongside them. . .Though none were more powerful or intelligent, as the humans (and their human-like companions).
The battles lasted for centuries. . .Each one bringing more love from the Gods to their creations. . .And more pain at the loss of each one. After what would come to be known as 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑬𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒔. Not only was all life eradicated. . .But as was all of creation. . .All of their work was gone. . .And they were left floating in the vast emptiness of nothing.
The Gods, saddened by not only what they've done, but also with what they've become finally forgave one another and came to an agreement. . .That their power was too much for their new, living creatures to deal with.
And so, the four siblings cast aside their hatred and anger and used all of their energy to restore all that had been destroyed. . .Bestowing some of their very own powers on all living beings. While giving up their physical forms to become objects that would benefit everything. . .
𝑩𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒐𝒈 became what we now call the Sun, 𝑿𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔 the Moon. 𝑩𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉 became the new Earth and 𝑿𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒔 became the stars, forming her generals into what we call, constellations.

Humanity has since, learned to harness their ancestrial God's Auras and Elements, using them to defend their countries, kingdoms and citizens. . .Though it appears that history is once again repeating itself, as the humans have begun to once again wage war with one another. All in attempt to prove who's God is more surperior.

「𝑩𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑰𝒔𝒆𝒌𝒂𝒊. . .」

Matt was born in an alternative universe. One where the time had moved well beyond that of the medieval era. . .Unlike that of the Isekai universe.

Born into a middle-class family, Matt and his many siblings lived a kind and modest life. . .At least, that's how he would describe it to anyone whom asked. . .However, digging deeper would reveal a much different story. One full of abuse both at home and school. . .
Though, later in life, these situations were corrected. He grew to have many friends and a caring, happy relationship with his parents. He was rather intelligent in high school and college, though he opted out of a higher education due to a lack of money.

It wasn't long after dropping out, Matt joined his father in the construction industry, drilling deep into the Earth to place the base beams for many buildings and bridges.
. . .One day, while drilling into the ground, his drill had hit an underground air-pocket. . .Causing the Earth to collapse underneath of him. The last thing he heard before blacking out. . .Was his father shouting out his name.
